Dr. Chad Goins was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. He graduated magna
cum laude from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, in 1994 with a
degree in Zoology and American Government. During medical school at the
University of Washington, Dr. Goins studied in Pullman, Seattle, Boise,
Spokane, rural Montana, and southeast Alaska. He received his Doctor of
Medicine degree in 1998. Dr. Goins' completed his internship at Deaconess
Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, in 1999. He then returned to the
University of Washington to perform his ophthalmology residency, finishing
in 2002. He is board certified through the American Board of Ophthalmology.
After training, Dr. Goins joined the Inland Eye Center in Spokane and
Colfax, Washington, where he enjoyed a busy comprehensive medical and
surgical ophthalmology practice for six years. After marrying in 2006 and
adding a baby girl just 11 months later, Dr. Goins and his wife, Sophia,
decided to relocate to Hillsboro to raise their family.
In his free time, Dr. Goins enjoys playing golf, music, and spending
time with his family.
Dr. Goins provides routine family eye care as well as the evaluation and
treatment of a myriad of eye diseases including cataract, glaucoma, macular
degeneration, and disorders of the eyelids.
